Vegan and Organic Gelato (San Diego)
Bobbi Natural Gelato is situated in La Jolla Cove, overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean and a gorgeous green area. You can probably guess which store it is by the ling lines that form right outside as well as inside the shop.
No matter what time of the day you go, people come here to get a dose of this amazing and refreshing gelato/sorbet, No wonder it is always busy!
I love organic places, and this is no different. Their selection is truly unmatched, however I took a picture of their vegan options, which means no dairy has been used in these flavors.
Their vegan options include:
- Pineapple and Basil
- Meyer Lemon and Fresh Mint
- Pomegranate
- Cranberry Orange *With Vanilla*
-Kibana *Banana and California Kiwi"
-Dark Chocolate Sorbet
I did taste a few flavors, and am grateful that they allowed us to taste, as many as we want, and still having a great friendly attitude about it.
I chose the Pomegranate in their smallest cup size they had, and since it comes with 2 scoops, I chose both scoops as pomegranate.
Taste:
Not too sweet, not too watery, not too cold, not too rich. The taste was refreshing and hit the spot!
I don't have gelato often but it sure is a nice treat!
This is why I recommend this place to those who are either in the area or are visiting and looking for a refreshing healthy treat :)
